WHAT'S ON TONIGHT

COMING UP

A sillhouette of Johnny Cash on stage with his guitar at Folsom Prison Join us as we kick off our 2008 Holiday Pledge Event with Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison. This documentary, based on Michael Streissguth's book Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison, explores the historical context of the singer's seminal concert album. The program weaves interviews with archival candid photography by Jim Marshall while the music speaks for itself. The program evokes the spirit of that day in January 1968 when Cash and his group step onto the stage in California's gritty prison. The resulting album rejuvenates Cash's career, and Cash becomes a national advocate for prison reform. Airs Friday, December 5 at 9:30 p.m. MT/PT. View Holiday Pledge Event Schedule
